What A Day!

Mummy & daddy brought me to Pasir Ris park for another bicycle ride today. The sky was dark & gloomy when we woke up in the morning but we still got prepared & drove to Pasir Ris park cos daddy & mummy had already arranged a playdate with En Qi & her parents.

It wasn't so bad when we reached Pasir Ris. The sky has cleared & we can even see alittle sun peaking out from behind the clouds. There's a newly open cafe just behind the bicycle rental shop, so we decided to have b'fast first. Daddy ordered some char siew buns & dough sticks for all of us. The dough sticks were soggy & the buns had ants. Luckily the owner is willing to exchange them with kaya toasts.

We ride for abt 45mins then we proceeded to the beach for some sand play. Auntie Lizhen had brought along sand toys & mat today. I had so much fun! Daddy took me for a stroll along the shallow water & I kept dragging him further in...all b'cos I wanna go swimming. Haha. When r u bringing me for a swim again, daddy?

En Qi wanna play at the playground so we all proceeded there soon after. I had a great time playing on the swing, esp when daddy pushed me really high up in the air.

Suddenly it started to drizzle & we all quickly cycled back to the rental shop to return the bikes. We were all famished so mummy suggested to go to Downtown East for lunch. There's a new building erected next to Downtown East & there're lotsa eateries & restaurants there. We headed straight to famous Mr Chicken Rice who's chef cum owner was the ex-chef of Chatterbox, Mandarin Hotel. Daddy didn't find the chicken rice exceptionally different though...

After lunch, we happened to walk past the mini ferris wheel & mummy suggested bringing me for a ride. Child above 75cm requires a ticket so we bought the family package for 3 pax which is $15.50. I enjoyed myself tremendously & kept waving & saying hello to passerbys.

By then it was already 3pm & time to go home. I was so tired that I dozed off just 5mins into the car ride. I didn't even wake up when mummy wiped me clean & put me down to bed. WHAT A DAY!!

Bicycle Riding at Pasir Ris Park

We enjoyed ourselves during the trip to Pasir Ris Park last weekend so we've decided to go riding again this week. Hmm..hopefully it'll become our weekly routine. Good way to spend quality family time & squeeze in some exercise during a hectic week.

Official Start of Toilet Training

Mummy started my official toilet training today. Initially, she only let me sit on the toilet seat before shower everyday. I dun really know wat's going on so I just sit there & do nothing. Mummy then make use of the opportunity to brush my teeth, clean my eyes & wipe my face while I'm seated.

Then as days passes, I'll pee occasionally in the toilet bowl & mummy will reward me with praise. I'll be so proud of my achievement tat I'll keep clapping my hands. In the meantime, mummy also let me observe her using the toilet & also allow me to explore & see wat happens when I flush the toilet bowl. Haha..I know it sounds gross.

Then recently, mummy find tat I can pee everytime when I'm seated at the toilet bowl. So she felt it's time to officially start my toilet training. So starting from today, mummy brought me to the toilet at every 45mins interval & I really pee everytime. My diaper is relatively dry in between the toilet trips. I only had 1 accident today where I pooed halfway in my diaper before telling mummy I need to go. Mummy quickly rushed me to the toilet but it's too late. Anyway, I'm using pull up pants now, cos mummy is afraid of accidents like pee/poo on sofa. But when I nap or sleep at night, I'm still using NTUC diapers..cos it's cheaper.

What an Eventful Day!

Daddy went reservist today & came back home early. Mummy & daddy then waited till I wake up from my afternoon nap & brought me swimming at the swimming complex near our house.

I enjoyed myself so much! Kept splashing around the pool & looking at all the jie jies & kor kors learning to swim. Unfortunately I'm too young, otherwise I also wanna join in.

After the swim, daddy suddenly remembered that ye ye & nai nai are coming back to Singapore today from their Taiwan trip. So he decided to bring us there for dinner & also to fetch them home at the same time.

We had dinner at Ajisen Ramen at T1 & I really enjoy the char siew ramen & taco pachi. Then we proceeded to the viewing gallery to watch airplanes land. I had a great time running around the big open space & crawling up & down the chairs. Mummy & daddy were both too tired to chase after me so they sat down at the side, watching me from a distance & surfing net on the HP at the same time.

We spent about 1hr plus at the viewing gallery before ye ye & nai nai's plane touched down. We then proceeded to the arrival hall to wait for them. We waited & waited but we still didn't see them. I was getting very restless so daddy propped me on his shoulders & walked around the arrival hall. I like being so high up above looking down at other people's head. Haha.

Finally about 30mins later, we saw ye ye & nai nai walking down to the luggage belt waiting to retrieve their belongings. They didn't know we're coming to fetch them so they were very surprised when they saw us.

During the car ride home, I was busy playing with a plastic hook & daddy mischieviously asked me if I could let him play too. I said no but daddy kept insisting. I was very fedup & shouted "No..no...I say NO!" Both daddy & mummy were so shocked! They didn't realised I had learnt to form complete sentences already. Mummy didn't know how to react cos although she was pleased that I had managed to speak in complete sentences, but she also didn't want me to be so rude towards daddy.

Bicycle Riding in Pasir Ris Park

It's a sunny day so Daddy brought us to Pasir Ris Park to cycle. Mummy had originally wanted to laze around on the beach while daddy ride with me on the bike. However, daddy prefered mummy to join in so it'll be more fun.

The bike rental is quite cheap. Only $8 for 2hours (knowing well that we'll never be able to cycle for 2 full hours..haha) so we choose a twin bike with a child seat attached behind. I was so excited through out the ride that I kept screaming & pointing to the view around me.

After 30mins, we've reached the other end of Pasir Ris park so we decided to turn back & have a rest along the way. Mummy fed me pork floss bread & water while daddy laze around on the bench. I was so eager to continue the ride that I refused to finish my bread. Kept pushing mummy towards the bike, shouting "Go..go..cycle bike..".

This time, mummy made sure I rest my feet on the child seat leg rest so I won't keep kicking on mummy's legs in front & also make me put my hands on the hand rest in front of me. I'm very guai though cos through out the return trip, my hands & feets stayed there permanently. Mummy is very proud of me.

We were all exhausted & hungry after the ride so daddy suggested having a quick lunch at Elias Mall MacDonalds. Mummy is on diet so she only had a fillet burger. I managed to finish 1 box of 6pcs chicken nuggets & surprisingly, I refused daddy's offer of french fries. :P

As soon as we reached home, I nap until Da Yi & Xiao Yi came to our house for Mahjong game. After napping for about 3hours, I'm fully recharged & had so much fun running around, playing & fighting with Aisaac kor-kor & Ashley jie-jie.

Latest Achievement

Mummy brought me to Ah Mah's house today after my afternoon nap. I was eager to play with my cousins but too bad, they were still having their nap when I reached.

In order to distract me from waking them up, Ah Mah brought out wooden puzzles for me to play. The wooden puzzles have shapes of different modes of transportation & I'm supposed to match them according to their shape.

I managed to complete all on my own in about 15mins. Mummy was very surprised because she didn't know I can complete puzzles by myself. She is so proud of me because this is the 1st time mummy has seen me working on puzzles.

Mummy reckon it might be due to the constant exposure towards wooden puzzles during Busy Buddies class. There is a 15mins free play during every class and there're always a few wooden puzzles lying around on the floor, even though I always choose to ride on the rocking horse instead. Haha.

Happy Mother's Day!

My gift to mummy for her love & care...
