Lunch wif CG Aunites

After playgroup today, Mummy brought me to meet CG Aunites for lunch. We took the NEL & reached there early at around 12noon.

While waiting for the aunites' lunch time, mummy had a gd time chatting with her ex-colleagues while I was busy being carried by SO MANY people.

Auntie Cindy suggested having lunch at this cafe in Ngee Ann City, so we walked all the way there.

Maybe due to the fact that I was hungry after playgroup, I managed to finish 1 bottle of milk in the MRT & a bowl of spaggetti with chicken.

After lunch, Mummy decided to window shop & I dozed off real fast after a few minutes. Mummy then took this chance to try on clothings & shop in peace for about an hour before I wake up.

Stroll CNY Market at Chinatown

After work, Daddy decided to bring us to Chinatown for a stroll. I'm so fanscinated by all the twinkling lights & red lanterns hanging high up, that I kept tilting my head up to see.

This year's night market is nothing special. All the stalls are selling almost the same thing every year. But cos tonight is a Monday night, it's less crowded & so we took our own sweet time to window shop.

Parading In Red

Mummy bought 2 chinese cheongsum for me to wear during CNY. One is long sleeve, while the other is halter bare back cheongsum. However, the halter bare back one is too big, so I gotta wear a red tube inside to look 'decent'. Haha.

Here's me parading in red...

Drawing Time

Scribble..scribble...

Daddy wanna distract me so he can continue surfing net, so he gave me a pen & a piece of paper to draw. I don't even know how to hold a pen, but daddy patiently taught me.

Here's the end result:

3rd Day in Playgroup

I woke up early today at about 745am. Daddy then made milk for me before preparing to go to work. I kept waving goodbyes to daddy while he puts on his shoes.

Mummy lazed around on bed for awhile before washing up & changing me. There's plenty of time today so mummy tie a pony tail for me, complete with matching ribbons.
She also remembered to pack my favourite baby biscuits today in case I cry again like yesterday,

When we reached the class, the situation is much better than yesterday. I didn't see anybody crying today. The kids were brought into class, take off their shoes & were lead to the play area either by their guardian or the teachers. This time, mummy didn't spent time with me at all. She sneaked off while the asst teacher lead me to the play area.

When mummy came to pick me up 1hr later, she asked the asst teacher if I cried during the class. She told mummy that I was a gd gal & didn't cry at all. Mummy also observed that all the kids seemed happy when they came out of the classroom. No cryings & wailing at all! Wat a gd start!

See...mummy still have time to take some pixs of me today before school.

2nd Day in Playgroup

Today, mummy decided NOT to sit in the class. When we reached there, there's the usual 3 kids crying & their guardian pacifying them. I was abit taken aback & quickly clung onto mummy's legs.

Mummy then took off my shoes & lead me to the play area which is filled with lego sets. However, I refused to sit down & kept staring at the kids crying. Mummy then had to sit down with me & showed me how to play with the lego sets.

After I've settled down, mummy gave me some water to calm me down. She had planned to sneak off after putting my water bottle back inside my abg but I quickly stood up & walked forward. Mummy had to pause at the door. Who knows, I'm actually walking towards the wall filled with posters on the wall.

The asst teacher saw me & quickly signal mummy that she'll take over from there. So mummy quickly sneak off while the asst teacher distracted me with the pixs on the wall while still carrying another sobbing boy.

When mummy came to fetch me after class, the asst teacher told her that I was a brave gal. Didn't cry at all until at the later part when it's break time & I didn't have any biscuits cos mummy didn't pack for me. So I cried while watching other kids munching on their biscuits. Asst teacher kindly offered me hers & I stopped crying immediately.

While walking home from school, I kept talking & singing. Mummy thinks I must be enjoying the class.

1st Day in Playgroup

Daddy & mummy decided to enrol me into the 2hr daily playgroup at Talentplus Edu-care organised by the RC near our place. The class is at Blk 606 Hougang Ave 4 which is about 5mins walking distance from our place.

We were late for class this morn as I only woke up at 845am. Mummy quickly made milk & changed me while I lay there drinking. When we reached there, the classroom door was locked. We had to knocked on the door & luckily there's still 1 more boy outside the class being pacified by his father so we're not really late.

This week, the class is open for 1hr only, so as to let the students adapt to the new environment & parents are welcome to sit in. There are 7 students in the class. 4 gals & 3 boys. The boys seemed older & all of them are crying. I seemed to be the youngest in the class but I'm not scared at all. There are 3 parents sitting in today, including mummy. 2 boys were being pacified by their parent while another one was being pacified by the Asst Teacher.

We spent the first 10mins playing with toys on the floor to warm. Then the teacher instructed us to keep the toys in the box. Mummy showed me how & I helped to put the toys back inside the box.

As the boys kept crying so we didn't do much today. Teacher sang some songs with actions & drew a star on my palm. Then she took out a picture of a gal with strings attached to her hair. Teacher wanted us to touch the hair & feel the texture. I was too distracted by the cries & the new environment that I didn't notice wat the teacher is doing. Kept roaming around the classroom, touching the pictures on the wall. Mummy had to prompt me before I went forward & touch the hair. Then it's time for break & everyone took out their water bottle to drink. After that, it's story time & class ended.

VERDICT
Kay seemed more fanscinated by her classmates & the new environment than wat the teacher is doing. She kept staring blankly at the crying children, probably wondering wat's going on. After she has warmed up, she kept roaming around the classroom, exploring. She also followed the actions of the other children instead of paying attention to the teacher. Hopefully she'll be more attentive after a few days getting used to the new environment.

Visit to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple & Museum

It's a NEW YEAR & Xiao Yi invited all of us to have tim sum at Yum Cha Chinatown. It was SO SO crowded! There was a long long queue waiting at the counter that we had to wait for about 30mins before we were shown to our table. Brunch was so-so as everyone was hungry & quickly globber down all the food. The kids especially like the mini egg tarts but the porridge is too bland.

After brunch, Da Yi Zhang wanted to visit the newly open Buddha Tooth Relic Temple at Chinatown so we all went along. It's a 4-storey building with a roof-top garden. There are even floor tiles made of GOLD on the 4th floor where the buddha relic lies.

Here's some pixs taken at the temple & museum...
