Hong Kong Disneyland

Mummy & daddy has been talking so long abt our family trip to HK Disneyland & TODAY is finally THE DAY!

Daddy had a late night the day before so we all woke up late in the morning. While daddy was packing his luggage at the last minute, mummy had to quickly wake me up, wash & dress me & prepare for any last minutes things.

Amazingly, we managed to finish everything in 30mins & rushed to the airport. Mummy bought some snacks for our b'fast after check-in & we quickly rushed to the departure hall before the plane takes off without us.

We met up with Xian Yi & family in the aircraft, who were already sitting comfortably in their seats behind us.

This is the 1st time I'm travelling on an airplane & I'm really EXCITED. I chosed a seat next to the window & stared out intently during take-off. The view is really amazing!

Through-out the 3hrs journey, I busied myself with Cathay Pacific's goodie bag for kids (which contains lotsa stickers, colouring book, puppet etc), watching cartoon on TV & munching on biscuits. Mummy was glad that I didn't make any fuss during take-off & landing eventhough there was pressure difference & turbulence.

I made mummy & daddy laugh when I suddenly commented why they sounded like Mickey & Minnie whereas my own voice sounds like Donald Duck. Haha...

Once we landed at HK International airport, we made our way to the taxi stand for a ride to Disney Hollywood Hotel. It's a short 15mins ride & we admired the hilly views along the way. The weather was nice & breezy and everyone was in a good mood. The rooms were ready when we reached & I was really thrilled to see Mickey Mouse EVERYWHERE!

Not wanting to waste time, we quickly unpack our luggage & took a shuttle bus to Disneyland. We reached there at around 4pm & there wasn't much crowd. There wasn't any queues for the rides & theatre shows so we really did lotsa stuff before we had our dinner in the park. We had chinese cuisine for dinner & it's only so-so. Not really that fantastic.

Mid-way through our dinner, we heard 'bombing' sound & mummy quickly took me out to view the fireworks. It's both beautiful & frightening to me. I'm really scared of the loud sound but I couldn't turn my eyes away from the fireworks.

While we're on our way back to our hotel, I fell asleep in my pram & didn't wake up till the next morning.

The next day, I woke up super early at 7am & kept pestering mummy & daddy to bring me to the 'playground'. Mummy had a nice bubble bath with me & we're all famished by the time we're done. We quickly got dressed & headed downstairs to the hotel cafe for a simple b'fast of ham & cheese sandwiches, noodles & congee. The congee tasted really nice but I can't say much for the rest of the food.

Once Xiao Yi & family came down to join us for their bfast, we quickly headed to Disneyland once more. The hotel has a promotion where we can get 2-days park passes for the price of 1 & we're glad we're in time to enjoy this promotion. As we had recee the park the day before, we can plan our itinerary better today. We headed straight to the Disney Railway & took a nice ride to Fantasyland. As the crowd today was bigger as compared to yesterday, we took our own sweet time riding on all the rides & seeing all the shows, fufilling our hunger by eating lotsa popcorns which are sold in pushcarts found all over the park.

By the time we finished Fantasyland, Adventureland & Tomorrowland, it was time for lunch. The weather had turned colder today with very harsh winds & I kept complaining to mummy that my hands are cold, even though I had 3-layers of clothings on me. By the time we reached Royal Banquet, I had already dozed off in my pram. Thus mummy & daddy managed to have a nice leisurely lunch before I wake up.

I had a small accident today when I suddenly pee in my pants. Mummy didn't brought any extra clothings for me so she had no choice but to purchase new clothings & undies for me from the souvenier shop. The prices there are really outrageous! Mummy had originally wanted to buy only a bottom for me but the shop only carries tops & dresses. In the end, mummy bought a SGD$30 tennis dress & a SGD$30 pack of undies. OMG! The undies costs almost the same as the dress!

I was REALLY happy to be able to wear new clothes & mummy suspects if it was my motive all along. Ha! After lunch, we headed to our favourite rides & retook them all over again. I'm sad that I couldn't take the 2 rides that are restricted to kids of certain height but mummy assured me that we'll come here again next time when I'm older.

After catching the fireworks at night, we took the MTR to Sunny Bay & changed another train to Citygate. The MTR train has windows shaped like Mickey & the deco in the cabins are all disney-related. There's an outlet mall above the Citygate station so after finishing our Mac dinner, we did some last minute shopping. Xiao Yi & family were too tired to continue with the shopping trip so they left for hotel earlier while we ventured around the mall till I nagged at mummy & daddy to head 'home'. Again, I fell asleep in the cab on the way back till the next morning.

The next day, we didn't have anything planned so we took a leisurely long b'fast at the hotel cafe before heading outside to take some hols pixs. Afterwards, mummy brought me to this toy shop in the hotel where kids can do arts & crafts activities, play & read books for free. Daddy helped me out with my colourings in the toy shop while mummy did some last minute shopping in the hotel souvenier shop. Soon, Xiao Yi & family joined us & we while our time away before it's time to head to the airport.

The flight back home was uneventful although I kept nagging at mummy & daddy that I want to go back to 'Mickey's house' again.
