Xmas Celebration at Da Yi's hse

Mummy & Daddy brought me to Da Yi's house for Xmas dinner today. It was a potluck dinner so Da Yi prepared spagetti, meatballs, apple & potato salad, Xiao Yi bought ice-cream & Mummy brought drinks.

After dinner, we enjoyed the xmas lightsup at Mount Faber from the living room window. It was so pretty with the electrical tower decorated with fairy lights.

Meanwhile, Daddy, Ah Gong & all the other uncles played a game of MJ.

We left at around 930pm. I was SO TIRED that I fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Holiday in Genting Highlands

addy & Mummy brought me to Genting Highlands. This is our 2nd time there this year. The first time was during the National Day PH in August.

This time round, we took the morning coach instead. Mummy woke me up at 6am & we took a cab to Golden Mile Complex to board the coach. Like the previous time, we took the Luxury Coach from Five Stars because it's more comfy with full recline & massage function chairs & has video-on-demand & games for each seat.

Maybe because I was still in a dreamy state, I slept through-out the whole journey which was abt 7hours. Waking up only when it's time for milk & toilet breaks.

We reached First World Hotel, Genting at about 2pm & went straight to Ah Gong's room to meet up with the rest. They had arrived early in the morning since they took another coach the night before.

Then we headed to have lunch near the taxi station & back to our rooms for a rest. At 6pm, we met up again for dinner & retired at about 1030pm. Maybe due to the cold weather, I kept feeling very sleepy...yawning away after each meal. The average temperature was about 17 degree. It was very foggy & rained quite a bit while we were there.

The next 2 days, we spend most of our time eating, sleeping & walking around to explore. It's very crowded with holiday-makers so we didn't get to go on the amusement rides. Which is just as well, cos I'm scared of rides. Mummy tried to make me sit in one of the rides in the arcade, but I kept crying. I much prefered to stand outside & watch Isaac & Ashley riding on all the rides.

Xmas Party @ Nuovo

Mummy & Daddy brought me to a xmas party at Auntie Priscilla's plc at Nuovo. It was a potluck party so daddy cooked curry chicken. There were also baked ham, roasted chicken, fried bee hoon, fish balls, log cake & chocolate eclairs.

Auntie Priscilla prepared some bubbles & we all enjoyed SO MUCH! However the ground was soon slippery & sticky, causing some of us to fell down.

Tomorrow is Mummy's b'day so we all celebrated together with the log cake. Coincidentally, Auntie Serena's b'day is on Xmas Day too!

The party ended at about 830pm & I fell asleep immediately when we reached home.

Some pixs to share of the happy times...

Hand Painting

Mummy asked Auntie Michelle to help her buy a box of hand paints from John Little since it's on sale. 4 big tubes for only $10.60. Very reasonable.

Mummy wanted me to try hand painting so she set up newspapers on the kitchen floor & used masking tape to secure it. Next, she dripped some paint on the art paper & put on art apron on me.

At first I didn't know what it was & simply stood there & stare. Mummy then pulled my hands towards the paint & smeared it with all the colours. So strange...I kept feeling the texture with my fingers.

Mummy kept trying to encourage me to play with the paint but I didn't dare. End up, the mission is a failure.

Hopefully next time, I'll have more fun with hand painting!

The Bee Movie

It was a rainy day but Mummy still went ahead & brought me out for lunch with the CG gals.

We reached CG office at about 1230pm & saw many of mummy's ex-colleagues. However, I was abit shy & refused to leave mummy's side, only allowing Auntie Vikky & Auntie Frieda to carry me. And when Uncle Marc touched my thighs, I started pouting with tears swelling from my eyes. But still I refused to cry! Mummy said I was such gloomy today, unlike the usual me.

Anyway, we then proceeded to have baked rice with fish at the Hongkong Cafe in Orchard Cineleisure. I don't really like it & kept fussing until Auntie Vikky fed me her bee hoon & played Itsy Winsy Spider with me. Then I started laughing loudly.

Later, Mummy brought me to watch The Bee Movie. Today is the last day of screening, so there wasn't much audiences in the theatre. We had the whole row to ourselves with a loving couple sitting right infront of us. However, the theatre was SO WARM! That everyone was perspiring, incl me. Mummy had no choice but to use the changing mat to fan me. I sat quietly on Mummy's lap for the 1st 15mins. Thereafter, I kept fidgeting & lost concentration. Mummy had to bribe me with some biscuits & milk so that I can quiet down. I watched the rest of the movie standing on the floor while Mummy held my hand to prevent me from venturing away.

Overall, it was a very nice experience as I really enjoyed the movie. It was funny & I kept laughing & pointing at the animation on the big screen.

Mummy said she'll bring me for another movie next time when there are other suitable animation movies on show. Yipee!

Orchard X'mas Lightup

This is my 1ST TIME looking at the Xmas lights in Orchard Rd!

I'm so fanscinated by the beautiful fairy lights that I couldn't take my eyes off them. It's so cooling walking under the 'stars' that we took our time taking pictures & admiring the deco.

Gai-gai...

It's a lazy afternoon & mummy decided to bring me out for some fresh air.

Mummy fetched Ah Mah, Aisaac kor-kor & Ashley mei-mei from Ah Mah's house & drove to Compasspoint for some light shopping. Compasspoint is beautifully decorated in preparation for the Xmas season. We are all so amazed by the beautiful lightings, shimmering balls & santa claus figurines. We kept shouting Wah! Wah! Ignoring glances by the passerbys.

Xiao Yi later met us for dinner at Mos Burger. I'm very choosy & only wanted to eat french fries for dinner.

As Aisaac kor-kor started to fuss & cry when he couldn't sit in the coin-operated car, we all decided to call it a day

Visit to Auntie Lena's house

Mummy brought me to Auntie Lena's house today. It quite near to our place as it's just 1 straight road all the way down to YCK.

I was quieter & grouchier than usual as I'm not really familiar with the rest of the aunties & babies there. So I mostly played with myself, mummy or Caitz. But after a while, I soon warmed up & played roughly inside the Baby Summer's playhouse. I REALLY love the playhouse!

Mummy had a good time too, with a delicious spread of pasta, clams & much much more. Not forgetting getting to know more new friends.

Mummy saw the following article from Babycenter.com.

Your 16-month-old's social and emotional development: The toddler connection
by Dana Sullivan
Reviewed by the BabyCenter Medical Advisory Board

New this month: The toddler connection
Even at this young age, your toddler is learning that he is rewarded with positive attention — hugs, laughter, praise — when he behaves in ways that people around him think are "right," and that he is punished or ignored when his behavior is "wrong." (What may really amaze you is how quickly your intuitive toddler learns that to different people right and wrong mean different things. A behavior that might elicit a frown from you, i.e., pounding a toy on the coffee table or pulling the dog's tail, brings peals of laughter from an older sibling.)

The social interactions you're most likely to witness now are basic — waving, smiling, playing peekaboo, and following simple instructions — but these are all first steps in establishing his personal social style that are learned through imitation. A 16-month-old is also able to initiate displays of affection and he'll give back what he receives. If you show affection with hugs and kisses, he will likely, too.
Mummy's Comment: Kay sure loves to give kisses & hugs. Even playing peekaboo with total strangers.

Other developments: Developing self-awareness
A newborn isn't able to differentiate between himself and his mother or between himself and any object he sees. Tasting, touching, smelling, and hearing what's in the world around him are ultimately what help him understand that he is a separate being. At about 16 months, your toddler understands that he is his own person, but that he can use you as an extension of himself. For instance, if he sees a toy that he wants but can't reach, he'll push you toward it and gesture until you know he wants you to hand it to him. Or, he may not feel comfortable walking up a flight of stairs, but since he's determined to do it anyway, he'll grasp your hand so you can help him.
Mummy's Comment: Kay likes to place my hand on her body to indicate she wants me to pat her, drag me across the room so I can get things for her, wants me to play kitchen set with her, pat me to bed etc. Never failed to amaze us wif what she can do nowadays.

At this stage, your toddler knows he is powerful and he is the center of his world. He uses your attention and amazement and appreciation of his accomplishments to attempt even more. He wants to succeed at everything he tries, though he often won't. You'll catch him attempting to carry objects that are far too heavy or unwieldy for him to handle, but he'll be adamant about trying. Rather than help him, admire his chutzpah and let him cry out his frustrations when he can't do something; he'll keep trying and soon succeed.

Giving him opportunities to imitate you at work, such as "cooking" in a play kitchen since he can't really make you dinner, will help cut down on the frustration he feels about being too little to do some of the things he wants to do and will also build his self-esteem. Toddler-sized tool sets, little play kitchens, or grocery carts are great fun for 16-month-olds.

Celebrating Auntie Winnie's Birthday

Auntie Winnie picked us up from home & drove us to Centerpoint to meet the rest of the CG Aunties for lunch to celebrate her birthday in advance.

I fell asleep the moment I was in Auntie Winnie's car cos I woke up early at 930am & refused to nap. I'm simply too excited knowing that mummy is bringing me to go 'gai-gai'.

I didn't even wake up when mummy transferred me to my pram, carried up the stairs & pushed into the restaurant.

Mummy only had about 30mins of peace enjoying her meal when I woke up from the power nap. Thereafter, I kept fussing cos I wanna try different food on the table. Hmm..I still enjoy Auntie Frieda's rice better. Yum yum. Soba & udon is too chewy for my liking & the fish roe in the sushi really sucks!

After lunch, mummy brought me to Taka Toys Fair. There wasn't really much stuff, more meant for bigger kids & the price is not so cheap afterall. So after walking 1 big round, we took a cab home without buying anything.

New Hat

Mummy went for a diaper survey last Saturday & managed to earn $80 in 2hrs time. So she spurged on me by buying lotsa stuff at Seiyu, Bugis.
My fav is this straw hat with pink flowers. I LOVE to wear them in the house, even when watching TV on the sofa. The BEST part is it cost only $7.50.

Private Preview of Changi Airport Terminal 3

Mummy & daddy brought me to Changi Airport Terminal 3 today as we have tickets for the private preview.

It was raining heavily but we managed to reach there at about 4.30pn. Da Yi & Da Yi Zhang are already waiting for us at the Security Checkpoint.

The place is HUGE! Although T3 is due to open in Jan 08, the place is not 100% ready. Retail tenants are still busy renovating & the airport authority is still testing out the systems.

T3 has a big & spacious feel. It incorporates lotsa glasses, steel elements, wood, nature & plants in its design. There is a huge waterfall spanning 2 levels. From the Departure Hall to the Baggage Collection area. Inside the Departure Hall, there's also 2 Koi ponds & 2 Butterfly Parks. There's even 1 Powder Room specially for ladies! Too bad it's not open for viewing today.

Here are some picturess that we took today during the preview.

View more T3 pictures from the official website. http://www.changiairport.com/t3/

After the preview, we headed to T2 for dinner at Crystal Jade Restaurant. We ordered set meal for 4 person at $88+++. The dishes were delicious! Esp the fish. Daddy managed to clean out the fish (incl the fish head) even though he normally hates fish. I personally like the winter melon soup more. Very worthwhile considering the ex prices.

We then headed to the viewing gallery after dinner. What luck! We managed to see the Airbus A380 parked infront of the viewing gallery! It was huge! Hmm..wonder where it'll be heading today...

Elijah's 3rd Birthday Party

Mummy & Daddy brought me to SP Guild House to celebrate Elijah's 3rd birthday today. As usual, we were late cos I was still napping till 4pm.

When we reached there, the magic show was already on-going. I was abit dazed cos there are so many people & I'm abit caught off-guard.

Nevertheless, I soon warmed up & started walking around & playing with balloons. Mummy & Daddy were so cheeky...they keep putting balloons all over me. On my head...waist & even wrists.

Oct Gathering at Auntie Legomum's Plc

July Babies Gathering again!

This time round, Auntie Legomum volunteered to open up her house for gathering. Due to my nap, we were late today. We reached there at about 430pm when Auntie NOIF are already leaving. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed our time there.

Thanks Legodad for all the good food! Yum..yum..Of course, not forgetting the celebrity house makeover(cos their house just underwent Bai Jia Le filming).

See the ALFRO man painting with Pokka green tea packaging on the wall? Well, that's the masterpiece by Mark Lee. The theme was supposed to be Funky Pop Art. Haha..everyone is clamouring to take photos against the wall as backdrop.
