Blood Test

Mummy brought me for Thyroid Blood Test today at Dr Pang's clinic. Normally, doc will use a syringe to draw blood. But because I'm still very young & my blood vessels are too small, Dr Pang has to use a fine needle to poke through my vein & let the blood slowly drop into the test tube.
So PAINFUL!! The whole process lasted for about 15mins & I was crying hysterically. I kept wanting Mummy to hold me, but Daddy hold on to me tight, for fear of the needle breaking inside me.
Waahhhhh..I NEVER wanna see a doctor every again!!

See out plastered hands. Mummy also got her blood tested at the same day...
Note from Mummy: Dear Kaylyn, you are such a brave gal. You stopped crying immediately after the needle was pulled out. Haha...you even beat Dr Pang's hand when he wanted to High-5 you. You must be really angry with him for inflicting such pain on you, right? Well, you blood test report turns out normal. What a relief!

At Auntie Zoe's plc

Mummy brought me to Auntie Zoe's place at Katong today.

Woah! She has an outdoor jaccuzi! I was so excited! Can't wait to jump into the water. Jedd also kept wanting to jump in, but Auntie Ethel doesn't allow.

Luckily, Auntie Zoe lent me a float so I can float in the water without mummy getting in.

Auntie Angi also brought along a swing. She tied it to the railings at the balcony & the view is fantastic!

There was also a Playskool walker in the house. Mummy let me tried pushing it & she's amazed that I can walk so well. Must be the 'power' of the Playskool walker. Haha...cos I don't like to walk with the Fisherprice walker mummy rented for me at home.

I can't wait to go there again NEXT TIME!!

Genting Highland Trip

Daddy & mummy brought me to my first Genting trip.

I was down with stomach virus the day before & daddy originally decided against bringing me to Genting. However on the day when we're supposed to depart, I became better. Crawling around & even kicking mummy's face with my strong legs. Haha...

Daddy came home 45mins before we're supposed to leave the house. Mummy is so mad. Cos daddy had to choose this day to cut his hair when he knows we're already rushing for time. Furthermore, daddy hasn't even pack his luggage. Mummy called him a 'Last-minute man'. Haha. Anyway, daddy had to rush through his shower, pack his luggage & left only 5mins to eat his dinner.

Luckily mummy called for cab so we're won't be late. We reached Golden Mile Complex at 930pm. Ah Mah, Ah Gong, Da Yi, Da Yi Zhang, Xiao Yi, Xiao Yi Zhang, Aisaac & Ashley are all already there waiting for us. We boarded the Executive coach at 10pm. It was super COMFY!! Luxurious leather seats with massage function, full recline without cutting into other passagers' space, TV screen infront of all seat. I can even play games on the TV!

I was so excited that I keep climbing up the seat, using mummy's body & shoulders as my ladder. I wanted to see what's going on behind me!

We reached S'pore custom at 11pm & went through the immigration by 1130pm. By the time we reached M'sia custome & clear it, it's already 12midnight. Way past my bedtime. I kept yawning but I couldn't keep still. The environment was so strange to me.

Finally, I fell asleep in mummy's arms, with the milk bottle in my mouth & the rocking motion of the bus lulling me to sleep.

I woke up a few times during the pitstops. But mummy managed to lull me back to sleep.

We reached Genting Highlands bus interchange at 530am. It's still pitch black. Even the escalators are not working. Poor daddy. He had to carry the stroller + me + luggage up the stairs with mummy following behind.

Da Yi Zhang brought us to eat roti prata. It's a small shop situated inside the multi-storey carpark near Genting Hotel. Mummy made me drink milk but I refused. I ONLY want to eat prata. However mummy & daddy refused to feed me prata cos I just recovered from the stomach virus. They say my stomach is still weak.

We finished our breakfast at 730am & we promptly proceed to the hotel lobby to queue for check-in. Reception counter opens at 9am, so we can only wait patiently. At 930am, Da Yi Zhang came back from casino & told us we had queue at the wrong counter. We should queue at the counter near to the bus interchange as we had booked the rooms through agent.

We only managed to get our room keys at 2PM IN THE AFTERNOON. During this time, I nap for a shortwhile in Da Yi's arms only to be woken up by Ah Gong. Then I keep fussing & crying but still refused to nap. Mummy was so mad that she slap my bum-bum. In the end, we proceed to have our lunch at the foodcourt while Da Yi Zhang, Xiao Yi Zhang & daddy waited at the counter.

After they've gotten our keys at 2pm, we all went to KFC for a 2nd lunch (cos the food at the foodcourt really SUCKS!!)

I can't wait to jump onto the hotel bed!! However when mummy & daddy were napping, I kept jumping around on bed & practising my stand. In the end, I was smacked & restrained until I fell into a peaceful sleep (That's how I fell asleep through-out the whole trip!!).

Dinner was at 7pm. Ah Gong invited us to Penang buffet at Genting Hotel. It was NICE!! There was even a malay cultural show while we eat!

The next day after breakfast at Hainan Restaurant, we spent the whole afternoon at the indoor amusement park. Mummy bought a full-day pass & accompany on all the rides while daddy waited for us with the stroller & our belongings.

Mummy said I looked so blur in all the rides. Dunno what I'm thinking about.

Here's some pixs taken at Genting. See how I was covered layer upon layer of clothings & blanket? Gosh!

My 1st Pnuemococcal Jab

Mummy took me to have my 1st Pnuemococcal jab on Monday, since she had the car while Daddy was out of town.

In the beginning, I enjoyed myself playing with the toys in the clinic. However, I quickly tensed up when the Mummy grabbed hold of my arms & thighs while the doctor prepared to jab me.

Wah! Mummy feels my reaction were a bit slow. I only started wailing long after doctor pulled out the needle. However, I was soon smiling & playing with Mummy's wallet while she was making payment.

On Tuesday morning, Daddy came back from India & drove me to Nai-nai's house as we're fixing aircon. When Mummy & daddy came to fetch me at night, there were lotsa red spots on my feet & hands. And the rashes were slowing spreading to my legs & arms.

Mummy & daddy quickly rushed me to the clinic. However, Dr Soh wasn't around. Instead, I was being examined by a very young Malay doctor.

Upon one look, doctor told Daddy that the red spots on my feet & hands are typical symptoms of Hand Foot Mouth Disease (HFMD). However, since I didn't had fever & ulcers on my mouth (which are characteristic of HFMD), doctor only suspect. So he told mummy & daddy to monitor me.

I had trouble falling asleep at night cos the itch on my feet are unberable. I woke up at 130am crying hysterically, kicking my legs at the same time (cos mummy put on socks for me at night). Mummy tried feeding me milk, but I started crying again & even refused to finished it. Mummy quickly apply calamine lotion on my feet & brought me to sleep with them on the master bed.

This is my first time sleeping with daddy & mummy after a long long time. I felt really weird & kept tossing around in bed. Finally I fell asleep lying in daddy's arms.

The next day, the rashes didn't spread & mummy confirm that I don't have ulcers in my mouth & tongue. Therefore mummy is very certain that I didn't have HFMD. After daddy came home from work in the evening, they brought me to see Dr Soh.

Dr Soh diagnosed that I may be allergic to the Pnuemococcal jab as I had rashes the day after. He prescribed some lotion to soothe my itch & advised mummy on reconsidering about bringing me for the followup jab 2 months later.

Mummy & daddy are so glad that my rashes only lasted about 3days.
