Mummy brought me to Growing Up Gifted (GUG) trial at United Square today. The trial was supposed to start at 4pm but the other mummies were late, so mummy & Auntie Yuen sit inside the classroom waiting for the other students to arrive. Meanwhile Caitlin & I played with the toys on the playmat.
Mummy & Auntie Yuen noticed that there are paint stains on the play mat & some of them are already frayed at the sides.
Soon after, the trainer came in & she told us the 1st 15mins of the class is for the babies to warm up. So by the time everyone came & the class starts, it's already 4.20pm.
There are songs, dancing, zoophonics & even chinese lesson. I hanged on to every word that the trainer was saying & keep clapping & flapping my hands around.
Unfortunately, mummy was not allowed to take any photos during the class.
There's also an art session too where we dipped our fingers & hands into paper plates filled with paints & create handprints on paper. Mummy didn't let me try cos she forgot to bring extra clothings for me.
Verdict of GUG:
- Very 'classroom' environment with tables & chairs at the back & mat in front facing the whiteboard.
- Facilities seems old & cleanliness not very good. Mummy is not sure if the toys are being sterilised & cleaned after every use.
- Trainers didn't seemed well prepared. Music unable to play & missing teaching materials.
- There was 1 baby gal screaming during the entire class. One of the trainers gave a very disgusted look & keep telling the maid to carry the baby to a corner of the class. In the end, the gal didn't participate in most of the activities & could only look on from afar. Mummy felt that the trainers should be quite immuned to screaming & crying babies by now & the digusted look was really unnecessary.

After the class, mummy brought me to shop around United Square & waited for daddy to join us for dinner.
Here's a pix of all of us in the Baby Changing Room...
