My 1st X'mas

Mummy setup a X'mas tree in our living rm. It's filled wif lights, bubbles & trimmings...SO BEAUTIFUL!! I like to lie under the tree & stare at the fairy lights flashing....*twinkle twinkle little stars*!!

Ah Ma, Ah Gong, Da Yi & Xiao Yi all came to our house to celebrate X'mas together...we had a potluck session & Daddy cooked fried noodles & Taiwan sausages. We also had potato salads, honey baked wings, logcake & lotsa other tibits...yum!yum!

I must have put on at least 10kg..hee..hee...(at least, mummy hopes so)

I wasn't really an easy baby to take care cos I had colic for the 1st 3 months...Every night at 9pm, I'll start wailing without fail until 12midnight. All the rocking, singing & patting in the world could not pacify me. Mummy even resorted to feeding me but I'll still cry hysterically.

Once, daddy even took me out for a car ride, hoping to soothe me to sleep. This worked once but thereafter, I'm back to howling again.

Ah Mah & Ah Gong said mummy should bring me to the temple to pray but mummy, being a free-thinker, simply ignore their suggestions. Ah Mah commented tat I'm such a difficult baby & is reluctant to take care of me. Mummy was very sad but she still put on a brave front. This lasted from a couple of weeks & my howling & wailing in the night simply proves too much for mummy & daddy.

Mummy became really desperate & consulted some aunties in the forum. A few kind aunties recommeded Infacol which helps to reduce colic & wind in stomach & mummy quickly rushed down to the pharmacy to get one.

Gradually over 2 weeks, my condition improve & miraculously, my crying suddenly STOPPED!! Mummy & daddy are so delighted!

Sharing the Joy - My 1st Mth Celebration

My 1st mth celebration was held on 13 August 2006 at Springdale. Mummy & daddy invited lotsa guests to share the joy. Other than immediate families, mummy & daddy also invited close friends, colleagues and ex-colleagues. Daddy's m'sian relatives also drove down specially to see me. Mummy said everyone is very curious about how I look like. Some commented that I dun like a chinese at all...hehe..mayb cos I'm very fair.
A slide show of me was also screened at the celebration...mummy made them during her confinement period.
I slept throughout the celebration even though I was passed around for people to carry & only woke up when everyone has left. Daddy said sleep is more important than anything else...2 thumbs up from ME!!

Bathing Time!

Although it is mummy's first time bathing me, but I felt really comfy & relax. Mummy says I'm a good gal cos I didn't fuss or cry at all!

My First Feed

I had my 1st feed at the hospital about 4hrs after I was borned. Auntie nurse brought me to mummy's ward & mummy quickly cuddle me into her warm arms. Mummy could not breastfeed me cos she had hyperthyroidism & the doctor advised her not to feed for fear tat the anti-thyroid medication will pass on to me. Anyway, formula milk taste yummy too!

HomeComing

Mummy & daddy spend lotsa time & effort to make sure my homecoming is as comfy as possible. This is the nursery room which I'll b spending most of my time in. Nice?
Mummy stenciled the walls with sunflowers, even though it's considered a taboo during pregnancy. Oh well, mummy is a modern woman & doesn't believe in myths.
